Cranston is one of the best neighbourhoods in Calgary in which to raise a family. Many community activities are centered around the Century Hall and Park, a private club for residents of Cranston. It offers a large variety of programs for all ages. A gym, the tennis courts, and the outdoor rink are some of the facilities that residents can make use of. Throughout the year other programs are offered like family movie nights, the Easter Eggstravaganza and the annual Stampede Breakfast.

Community Centre

Cranston also features many pathways, parks and greenspaces. You can walk, run, or cycle throughout the community on trails and paved paths. You will often find yourself rewarded with some spectacular scenery while enjoying a walk or run.

The neighbourhood provides many different styles of housing. Multi-family homes, starter, move-up, and estate style homes are all available. With this tremendous selection, newcomers can easily find a home to suit their needs. For those looking to build a new house, the latest area to be developed is Cranston's Riverstone. This unique community is nestled down in the valley near the Bow River. If you are thinking of building a new home, contact me to find out more information about this area. I would be happy to introduce you to the community and show you all that it has to offer.

Cranston is home to a number of schools including the new Dr. George Stanley Middle School. School bus service is available for those students living outside the walk zones. I would always recommend that you contact the appropriate school division to determine which school your children will attend.
